Apple Crisp

• 8 cups (2 L) apples, peeled, cored and sliced
• 1/4 cup (60 mL) brown sugar, packed
• 1 Tbsp (15 mL) all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp (5 mL) cinnamon
• 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) all-purpose flour
• 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) oatmeal
• 1 cup (250 mL) brown sugar, packed
• 1 tsp (5 mL) baking soda
• 1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt
• 1 cup (250 mL) canola oil margarine, softened

Preheat oven to 350 °F (180 °C). Place the sliced apples in a 9 x 13-inch (22 x 33-cm) pan. Mix brown sugar,1 Tbsp (15 mL) flour and ground cinnamon together and sprinkle over apples.

In bowl, combine flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, baking soda and salt. Cut in margarine until mixture is crumbly. Spread evenly over apples. Bake about 45 minutes.
Makes 12 servings.

CROUSTADE AUX POMMES

• 8 tasses (2 L) de pommes pelées, énoyautées, coupées en tranches
• 1/4 de tasse (60 mL) de cassonade, bien tassée
• 1 c. à table (15 mL) de farine tout usage
• 1 1/2 tasse (375 mL) de farine tout usage
• 1 1/2 tasse (375 mL) de gruau
• 1 tasse (250 mL) de cassonade tassée
• 1 c. à thé (5 mL) de bicarbonate de soude
• 1/2 c. à thé (2 mL) de sel
• 1 tasse (250 mL) de margarine à base d’huile de canola, molle

Préchauffer le four à 350 °F (180 °C). Disposer les tranches de pommes dans un moule de 9 x 13 pouces (22 x 33 cm). Mélanger ensemble la cassonade, 1 c. à table (15 mL) de farine et la cannelle moulue. Répandre sur les pommes.

Dans un bol, combiner la farine, le gruau, la cassonade, le bicarbonate de soude et le sel. Défaire la margarine à base d’huile de canola dans le mélange et brasser jusqu’à ce que le tout soit de texture granuleuse. Étendre uniformément sur le mélange de pommes. Cuire environ 45 minutes.
