Brasserie T!, Montreal

brasserie_t-6137From Normand Laprise and Christine Lamarche, the creators behind fellow Food Day restaurant Toque!, and also in Montreal, come two sleek, urbane restaurants, Brasserie T! Quartier des spectacles in Montreal and Brasserie T! Quartier DIX30 in Brossard on the south shore of the city that’s split by the St. Lawrence River.

Each has a similarly enthusiastic take on fresh and accessible food. The menus keeps it simple, with a focus on ingredients “instead of on adjectives.”  Brasserie T! Quartier des spectaclesis is at the centre of the cultural district where culinary art meets the performing arts. Brasserie T! Quartier DIX30 is adjacent to the Alt+ hotel. In both locations, in fact anywhere these two creative restaurateurs are involved, they place great importance to the traceability and the respect of products.  Local products and their producers have been central to all the food that they serve forth…for years.

The menu is astonishingly simple while offering superb quality signed Toqué! At a glance – homemade charcuteries, fresh oysters and garlicky sea snails, tartars, decadent french fries, Montreal sausage, bavette, silky smooth salmon with dill, seasonal dishes and much more.

Dessert are lovely….Try the sweet clover crème brûlée There are seasonal fruit tarts and homemade ice cream and sherbets.
