The folks at Bushwakker Brewpub in Regina demonstrate their commitment to all things local through their beer and food, but they’ve also made themselves a popular venue for local music. As well as their menu, the pub has 9 regular beers (brewed year round), 20 seasonal beers (brewed only at certain times of the year) and a specialty mead.

“We have a commitment to quality that is unique. We are dedicated to quality in everything we do, notBushwakker, Bushwakker Brewpub, Bushwakker Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan pub, Canada beer, Canadian cuisine just in brewing. To achieve quality we use very few prepared products, either in our kitchen or our bar. Not only is our beer produced in our own brewery from high quality basic brewing ingredients, but our food is also produced in our kitchen from high quality basic cooking ingredients,”. – Bushwakker’s Philosophy

2011 was the first year that the team at this rocking brewpub enthusiastically participated in Food Day Canada.  Local beer and local bison burgers greeted Roughrider fans as they came and went from a home game, just across the street.  Being part of Rider Nation was a huge thrill.   And every year since they’ve  joined the national party.

Aug. 1: Food Day Canada 2015

The largest national food event in the country! Food Day Canada (originally called the World’s Longest BBQ) was founded to support local farmers during the BSE crisis of 2003. It has evolved into a network of local celebrations, aimed at encouraging people to think about, be inspired by, and celebrate the importance of local food and community. An explosion of all things culinary in Canada. The Bushwakker will once again be participating in this nationwide celebration.

Bushwakker Executive Chef, Mike Monette, has sourced some fresh and delicious local meats to create The Bushwakker Saskatchewan Slider Trio.  Each slider features meat  sourced from a unique local supplier. Lamb from Miller’s By-Gone Farm near Whitewood topped with fresh goat cheese from Salyview Farm just south of Regina, Wild Boar from Golden Prairie Meats in Foam Lake and Angus Beef from Hi Low Angus Meats in Lumsden. Each trio will feature house-made artisan slider buns with our award winning hand cut fries.  The beer that would pair nicely with this local offering would be none other than our Bushwakker brewed Regina Pale Ale!
