This year, we will be between groups of visitors, so ours will be a barbecue for two.
Fresh-caught kokanee with BBQ-finished nugget potatoes and little green beans out of the garden are likely going to be on the menu, with a cherry clafoutis with fruit from the neighbours’ tree.
We may start off with some lamb and zucchini skewers which have been marinated in lemon and fresh herbs and lots of garlic.
It’s simple, but I think it will be sensational, because much of it was grown very close to home.
Monday, I’m attending a feast in my neighbour’s field of salad greens and tomatoes, along with about 100 people from all over the world, and the farmers who produced the food. It’s being put on by Outstanding in the Field.
Editors Note: Great to hear from you again this year Judie. THANK YOU!
