2011 begins HERE !

Newfoundlanders are renowned for their love of life and their great parties.  Chef Roary MacPherson, the current President of the Canadian Culinary Federation of Chefs and Cooks, is assembling at team of top chefs from St. John’s…those who have always walked the talk…and together, on Signal Hill, they’re kicking off the 2011 Edition of Food Day Canada.  Why?  They just want to be first.

He’s rallying veteran chefs like Gold Medal Plates winner Jeremy Charles and Food Day Award winner,  Bacalao’s Andrea Maunder . Together they will be cooking breakfast on this fabulous National Historic Site. And there’ll be others which will be posted as they join the official list.

Details have yet to be worked out and there’s always “the weather”. We will post updates as they are finalized and, with luck and lots of great national partners, eyes from around the world will watch as Canada celebrates the culinary prowess of our nation.
