Luma, Toronto

Luma is on the vanguard of leaders in the sustainable/local food movement in Ontario. A contemporary restaurant that pays homage to Toronto’s rich, multicultural landscape it’s globally inspired and locally sourced.

Executive Chef Michael Wilson’s menu showcases fresh, artisanal dishes, which feature the finest regional ingredients and reflect our city’s diversity. Luma is also known for its diverse wine list and hand-crafted cocktails.

Chef Wilson  began his culinary career in 2002, when he graduated from Stratford Chefs School and took a Chef de Partie position at Scaramouche Restaurant in Toronto. After working in a few notable places in and around the city, he made the trip overseas to train under Chef de Cuisine Michael James in London and Executive Chef Philippe Monti in Provence. After cooking around the world, Chef Wilson returned to his roots in Toronto and rejoined the Oliver & Bonacini culinary team.

One of the veteran Food Day Canada restaurants, Luma’s menu speaks of the seasons but it also speaks of the film industry. When you visit be sure to check out the cocktails but don’t miss the menu! Whether is a perfect duck egg carbonara or a bison tartare Michael pays homage to his classic culinary roots and new world cuisine, while highlighting exceptional Canadian ingredients.  It’s a truly great restaurant!
