From the classic elegance of Auberge du Pommier, Chef Jason Bangerter has catapulted onto the front lines of Toronto’s dining scene at Luma, a restaurant located in the Bell TIFF Lightbox in the theatre district of King Street West.

His roots run deep in Nova Scotia but after he left the Maritimes, he cooked globally in Michelin-starred restaurants. On any given day he spreads himself between Canteen (also in the Lightbox) and the Luma kitchen where he’s one of the vanguard of leaders in the sustainable/local food movement in Ontario.

Chef de Cuisine Brent Maxwell began his culinary career in 1994 at the historic Millcroft Inn and then, like Chef Bangerter, cooked in locations around the world before returning to his roots.

Luma’s menu speaks of the seasons but it also speaks of the film industry. Check out the cocktails but also, check out this great Food Day Canada menu!  They call it Canadian Summer Flavours and the ingredients are 100% Canadian.
