James Hoan Nguyen and Jason Barton-Browne met at Calgary’s River Cafe. It could not have been a better training ground for the pair. Both fully committed to and revelling in the burgeoning local food scene, they’ve teamed up to bring what Gilchrist calls “nouveau homespun fare (that) is worth the drive to Airdrie”
Believe me, I’d drive to Airdrie for the green garlic soup or the Alberta beef carpaccio finished with Tony Marshall’s cold pressed canola oil. (see Shop Like a Canadian).
