This is fast food with a really serious local twist. Opening in April of this year by the owner of Model Milk, National and Double Zero Pizza, they describe themselves as the “neighborhood burger joint; the way it was meant to be.” It is Chef Justin Leboe’s 4th restaurant in 52 weeks and, in a recent conversation, I think he’s ready to take a bit of a break although I wouldn’t count on it. His culinary imagination is just too active.
They offer REAL milkshakes, made with actual milk, cream, vanilla and sugar. The rather mountainous burgers are made with hormone- and anti-biotic-free 100% muscle cut beef, every patty of which Leboe selects and then supervises its grinding process.
Gaining fans one burger at a time, the Calgary Herald wrote, “Expect to see more Clive Burger joints opening in other high-traffic areas of the city.”
