Once again (we’ve been doing a Food Day Canada BBQ party since 2003), we light up the grills, enjoy the sunshine and the pool while grilling some wonderful goodies from our region(s). Today, we are keeping things very simple and comfortable…it’s hot. Alberta bison burgers, Ontario corn, pickled new onions and gold beets (they are fantastic this year) and wild blueberry (from Sudbury) shortcake to finish it off.
No doubt I will have a look through the few wines I have stored up and compliment this meal with a Canadian red.
Enjoy the day and try to celebrate Canadian food products more often. Cheers…..
