Chef Anthony Greco hails from Niagara and has been wise enough to stay at home to craft a focused and very successful career. As a graduate of Niagara College’s Food and Wine Institute, his knowledge of the local food scene is well honed. As Chef de Cuisine at Zest, he has garnered many awards and is the ‘go to’ place for a great meal in the country that skirts wine country.
His menus create a real sense of place from the beautiful foraged salads to seared Lake Erie pickerel with a rye bread crust, sweet & sour leeks and rösti. Similarly the wine list is hyper-local.
I love Zest’s open kitchen. Try to get a seat near the action because, if you’re a foodie, you’ll learn a lot.
