Cork and Fork 1Every autumn a great friend overwhelms me and my front step with boxes and baskets quinces from her ancient tree. For fun, I delivered two large baskets to Buca Osteria and a young chef Eric Neaves who was working received them with gratitude.  Now, he’s moved home to Kitchener to begin the next step of his career, opening his own restaurant, The Fork and Cork Grill. A graduate of the Stratford Chefs School where he embraced some of the classic techniques and “Farm to Table” and “Nose to Tail” concepts.

The menu looks like one created by the veteran he is, from charcuterie and pizza to dishes that truly celebrate summer in Waterloo/Wellington/Perth Counties like “Summer Shoots & Greens” with white bean puree, burrata cheese, tomato confit and basil oil to heat-beating gazpacho with fried-cheese stuffed zucchini blossoms. He’s assembled a great array of Ontario Craft beers on tap.
